Pickups
The Mockingbird pickups from Nick Silver Pickups provide a powerful, percussive sound with a lot of presence - ideal for clear lines and groovy patterns. Despite their assertive character, they never sound harsh or intrusive. Each pickup is hand-wound and specially tuned to give this lightweight Fink (only 3.1 kg) exceptional dynamics and punch.
Electronics
The pickups are switched via a 3-way rotary switch - with positions for neck, both pickups (parallel) and bridge. This unusual switch shape perfectly matches the minimalist design of the instrument and can be operated intuitively. The combination of high-quality electronics and the strong character of the Mockingbird pickups delivers a wide range of sounds - from warm and articulate to punchy and direct.
Materials & Hardware
The alder body is light and well-balanced - ideal for long playing sessions. The walnut neck sits comfortably in the hand, while the Blackwood Tek fingerboard offers a robust, dense surface with a natural playing feel. The Fauve hardtail bridge with brass riders impresses with its solid workmanship and striking design in matt green. The strings are guided through the body and are held at the back by a string ferrule block from Grainger - for reliable stability and a clear response when playing.
