Short Scale, Great Feel

Despite its compact 31.1" scale length, the Pitpit Bass offers a playing experience that feels close to that of a long scale bass, thanks to its 42.2 mm nut width — but without the need for extra finger gymnastics. Every note feels just right.

251 | Single Coils

The two Nick Silver Mr. Iggy Single Coils, combined with the flexible four-position switch, deliver an impressive range of punchy tones inspired by the classic '51 P-Bass design. These pickups captivate with their distinctive vintage character and give you the option to explore exciting out-of-phase sounds through the 4-way pickup selector.

Refine Your Sound with the Right Strings

The unique scale length of the Pitpit Short Scale E-Bass requires specific strings. We've tested various options for you and selected the best ones that perfectly complement the Pitpit.

Flatwound Recommendation

In our workshop, we equip every Pitpit with La Bella 760FHBB (50-105) strings as standard. These Flatwounds not only feel great but also sound amazing. Their full, warm tone with just the right amount of clarity never fails to impress.

Roundwound Recommendation

For a bright Roundwound sound with great playability and durability, we recommend the D'Addario EXL160M strings (50-105) for medium scale basses. These nickel strings perfectly capture the classic Roundwound character.

Other Strings

In general, all D'Addario strings with medium scale length fit the Pitpit. An interesting sound variation is offered by the XL Nylon Tapewound ETB92M (50-105), which provides a warm, smooth tone. The XL Chromes ECB81M Flatwounds from D'Addario are also an excellent choice.
